LEGAL NOTICE SECTION 1.1 ADVERTISEMENT 1.1.01 SEALED BIDS will be received by the City of Mason, Ohio until 10:00 A.M. (local time) on December 8, 2009 at the Mason Municipal Center, 6000 Mason-Montgomery Road, Mason, Ohio 45040, for the Split Phase Signal Modification Project- Western Row Road at Cintas Drive and Tylersville Road at Fairway Drive. 1.1.02 SCOPE OF WORK to be performed under this Improvement shall generally consist of modifying existing traffic signals installations at the intersections of Western Row Road at Cintas Drive and Tylersville Road at Fairway Drive. Improvements include installation and/or modification of vehicular signal heads, adding preemption units, video detection, and battery backup system. Also included will be partial removal of an existing median to extend an existing left turn lane and lighting system modifications on Cintas Boulevard. 1.1.03 THE ABOVE IMPROVEMENT shall be in accordance with the Contract Documents, on file in the City Engineer's Office, 6000 Mason-Montgomery Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. The City of Mason reserves the right to reject any or all bids in accordance with the Contract Documents. The City of Mason reserves the right to add to or to subtract from the contract quantities. 1.1.04 PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS can be purchased at the Mason Municipal Center, 6000 Mason-Montgomery Road, Mason, Ohio 45040 for a non-refundable fee of $30.00 will be charged for each set of Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents. 1.1.05 EACH BIDDER is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security, furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Upon award of the contract, the contractor shall provide a Contract Bond to the City (l00% of the Bid Amount). 1.1.06 EACH PROPOSAL must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. 1.1.07 BIDDERS MUST COMPLY with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Warren County and the City of Mason, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239. 1.1.08 ALL CONTRACTORS AND SUBCONTRACTORS involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. LEGAL NOTICE Please be advised there will be public hearings held during the City of Mason Zoning Board of Appeals meeting on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of the Mason Municipal Center, 6000 Mason-Montgomery Road, Mason, Ohio. The public hearings will be held to review the following items: 2009-084 ZB A variance is being requested from the Mason Zoning Code Chapter 1147 R-1, R-2, R-3 and R-4 Single Family Residential Zoning Districts for a property located at 100 Lynnview Drive. This chapter of the Zoning Code requires a 15-foot setback for sheds. The applicant is requesting the variance to build a shed approximately 4 feet from the eastern property line. 2009-086 ZB A variance is being requested from the Mason Zoning Code Chapter 1163 I-1 Light Industrial District for properties located at 7561 and 7589 Easy Street. This chapter of the Zoning Code requires an I-1 zoned property to be a minimum of two acres in size. The properties are currently in the process of being rezoned from HT-1, High-Tech Light Industrial to I-1, Light industrial. The variance would allow the properties to be less than two acres in size in the proposed I-1 zoning district.
