NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Washington Township, Montgomery County, State of Ohio, through its Board of Trustees will receive sealed proposals for: SIDEWALK AND CURB REPAIR PROGRAM until 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday August 14, 2012 at the office of the Fiscal Officer, Washington Township, Ohio, 8200 McEwen Road, Dayton, Ohio, 45458. Said proposals will be opened by the Fiscal Officer or his designee, as soon thereafter as the opening can begin at 8200 McEwen Road, Dayton, Ohio. All bids shall be submitted in accordance with the requirements of the Instructions to Bidders. This project consists of removing and replacing in-kind approximately 450 square feet of paver sidewalk from the Quailwood neighborhood, approximately 1500 linear feet of curb repair in 6 neighborhoods throughout the Township, and the installation of 525' of new type 5 curb along one street. Copies of the Bidding Documents including the Bid Submittal Document are available at the Washington Township Public Works Department, 8190 McEwen Road, Dayton, Ohio 45458, where they may be obtained upon the payment of twenty-five dollars ($25.00), for each set of documents, made payable to the Washington Township Board of Trustees, NONE OF WHICH WILL BE REFUNDED. Each Bid shall be signed by the full name and business address of each person or company in the same; and SHALL BE ACCOMPANIED by a bid security. Bid security shall be provided in accordance with the requirements of Article 8 of the Instructions to Bidders. Washington Township will require all work to be completed by December 14, 2012. Bidders shall provide proof of qualifications to perform the work as described in Article 5 of the Instructions to Bidders. The original Bid must be made on the forms in the Bid Submittal Document received from Washington Township with a price quoted for each item of work, the price of labor and materials to be stated where required. The sealed envelope containing the Bid must be submitted in accordance with Article 15 of the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Washington Township, Montgomery County, Ohio as determined by the Director of the Ohio Department of Commerce. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. DOMESTIC STEEL USE REQUIREMENTS, AS SPECIFIED IN SECTION 153.011 OF THE REVISED CODE, APPLY TO THIS PROJECT.
