Gibbs Celebrate Their 60th Anniversary on September 15

GIBBS CELEBRATE THEIR 60TH ANNIVERSARY On September 15, 1962, early in the morning we, Noah III (Buz) and Pam (Whaley), left Athens, Ohio and headed to St. Marys, West Virginia to get married. I was only 18 and at the time you had to be 21 without an adult signing the license. We called Pastor Mitchell in advance and after getting out license, headed to his house. His wife was our "witness". I (Pam) was a nervous wreck, afraid my mother would realize what we were doing and called the police. I kept watching for a police car, with sirens blaring and lights flashing, but thankfully that never happened. When we got back to Athens, my mother said she suspected we had run away to get married but "if our marriage didn't work out, she didn't want me to blame her for signing for us". Well, that was 60 YEARS AGO and WE'RE STILL MARRIED!! PTL Our marriage produced a son, Noah IV (Rick), wife Monica and grandson Kyle. Also, a daughter, Trish with son Brad and daughter Kelli. Our granddaughter Kelli, gave us our great granddaughter Amiyah and great grandson Camron. A couple weeks ago, Rick and Monica gave us an early anniversary present - a 3 hour dinner train ride which was fabulous. GOD IS GOOD, ALL THE TIME!!!
