Advertisement 1.1.01 Sealed Bids Will Be Received By

ADVERTISEMENT 1.1.01 SEALED BIDS will be received by the City of Mason, Ohio until 11:00 am (local time) on October 21, 2019 at the Mason Municipal Center, 6000 Mason-Montgomery Road, Mason, Ohio 45040, for the Washington Way and Jefferson Drive Storm Sewer Improvements. 1.1.02 SCOPE OF WORK to be performed under this improvement shall generally consist of the installation of new and upsized storm sewers on Jefferson Drive and Washington Way. Work includes excavation, installation of storm sewers and inlets and restoration. 1.1.03 THE ABOVE IMPROVEMENT shall be in accordance with the Contract Documents, on file in the City Engineer's Office, 6000 Mason-Montgomery Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. The City of Mason reserves the right to reject any or all bids in accordance with the Contract Documents. The City of Mason reserves the right to add to or to subtract from the contract quantities. 1.1.04 PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS can be purchased at Key Blue Prints, Inc. 411 Elliott Avenue Cincinnati, Ohio 45215 Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. (513) 821-2111. The non-refundable fee for the cost of reproduction will be charged for each set of Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents. Please allow approximately 4 hours from the time your order is placed for reproduction. 1.1.05 LAST TIME FOR QUESTIONS to be taken from Contractors is 4:00 PM, October 16th, 2019. 1.1.06 EACH BIDDER is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security, furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Upon award of the contract, the contractor shall provide a Contract Bond to the City (l00% of the Bid Amount). 1.1.07 EACH PROPOSAL must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. 1.1.08 BIDDERS MUST COMPLY with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Warren County and the City of Mason, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239.
