ADVERTISEMENT 1.1.01 SEALED BIDS will be received by the City of Mason, Ohio until 11:00 AM (local time) on February 9th, 2021 at the Mason Municipal Center, City of Mason, 6000 Mason-Montgomery Road, Mason, Ohio 45040, for the SR 741-2.19 Widening Project. 1.1.02 SCOPE OF WORK to be performed under this improvement shall generally consist of major widening to 5 lanes on SR 741 from SpyGlass Hill to Welden Drive. Project includes raised medians, shared use path, sidewalk, closed drainage system, 2 new signals, lighting and widening of WAR-741-0226 bridge. The project also includes a shared used path along Bethany and widening for eastbound right turn at Bethany and SR 741 intersection. 1.1.03 THE ABOVE IMPROVEMENT shall be in accordance with the Contract Documents, on file in the City Engineer's Office, 6000 Mason-Montgomery Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. The City of Mason reserves the right to reject any or all bids in accordance with the Contract Documents. The City of Mason reserves the right to add to or to subtract from the contract quantities. Funding for this contract is federal grant funds, State of Ohio grant funds, and the City of Mason. 1.1.04 DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS (DBE) REQUIREMENTS The contractor shall be required to meet DBE goals in accordance with Title 23, USC section 140(C) and 49CFR, part 26. DBE participation goal (subcontracts, materials, supplies) in the amount of 8% has been set on this project. All bidders are to submit a "DBE Utilization Plan" at bid time via ODOT's electronic DBE Project Use List form at https://odot. formstack.com/forms/dbe_copy 1.1.05 ODOT PRE-QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT Only ODOT pre-qualified contractors are eligible to submit bids for this project. Pre-qualification status must be in force at the time of bid, at the time of award, and through the life of the construction contract. 1.1.06 CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, BID SHEETS, PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS are on file and may be secured from the Bid Express website www. bidexpress.com/businesses/43460/homeContractors and sub-contractors can view and download information free of charge. Submission of a bid requires a payment to Bid Express of $35 per bid, or a monthly subscription of $50 for unlimited bidding. It can take up to five business days to process your Digital ID and it is highly recommended that a Digital ID be enabled 48 hours in advance of submitting an electronic bid.
