Advertisement for Bid Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Education of the Warren County Educational Service Center until 12:00 pm on Thursday, May 23, 2019 for the Building Renovations at the Irwin Simpson School located at 4936 Old Irwin Simpson Road Mason, Ohio 45040. Sealed bids shall be delivered to Mr. Alleyn Unversaw, Treasurer, at the Warren County Educational Service Center Administrative Offices located at 1879 Deerfield Road, Lebanon, Ohio 45036. The bids will be publicly opened and read. Sealed bids will be received for the General Construction Contract. The probable contract cost for the base bid construction contract is $800,000. Bids shall include all labor, materials, equipment, special tools, and services required to complete the work in accordance with the contract documents. A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Thursday, May 9th at 1:00 PM at the project site. Plans and specifications for the Project may be examined at area Plan Rooms. Bidders may purchase copies of the Contract Documents from Key Blue Prints, Inc., Cincinnati Office, 411 Elliott Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45215; phone (513) 821-2111; website www.keycompanies.com. Each proposal shall contain the name of every person interested therein. Each proposal shall meet the regulations of Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid (including add alternates) or a certified check, cashier's check, or an irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid amount (including add alternates), in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. No bids may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the bid opening. The WCESC Board of Education reserves the right to waive irregularities in bids, to reject any or all bids, and to conduct such review as necessary to determine the responsibility of any bidder submitting a bid for the Project.
