INVITATION TO BID LEGAL NOTICE Sealed BIDS for the contract of Prefabricated Truss Bridge for Governor Bebb MetroPark (Bid No. 2022-001) will be received by the Board of Park Commissioners at 2051 Timberman Road, Hamilton, OH 45013 until 2:00 P.M. (LOCAL TIME) on June 30, 2022, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. Bids submitted electronically are not acceptable. Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS are available electronically free of charge using the following website https://www.yourmetroparks.net/ about/rfps-and-bid-opportunities. Bidders must register on the website to be notified of addenda. Bidders should address all questions in writing no later than June 16, 2022, 9:00 a.m. to Matt Latham, Park Planner/Project Manager, 2051 Timberman Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45013, email mlatham@yourmetroparks.net. To be eligible to bid, Bidder shall be certified as a Certified Steel Erector by the American Institute of Steel Construction and shall be Level 6 Certified per section 513 of the Ohio Department of Transportation Construction and Materials Specifications. Each Bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Such Bid Guaranty shall be in the form of either a bond, secured by a corporate surety, in the amount of 100% of the bid amount; or a certified check, cashier's check, or irrevocable letter of credit, made payable to MetroParks of Butler County, in an amount equal to 10% of the Bid amount. All corporate sureties shall be licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the Proposal and all persons interested therein. Successful bidders shall comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to equal employment opportunities. MetroParks of Butler County is a governmental agency exempt from all local, state and federal taxes. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and clearly marked with the Bid No. and project title. No bid may be withdrawn before sixty (60) days have elapsed after the Bid Opening Date. The Board intends to award a contract to the lowest and best bidder whose bid is submitted in accordance with the requirements of these bidding documents and does not exceed the funds available for the Project. The project is described as follows: Fabricate and deliver weathering steel truss pedestrian bridge, approximately 135 feet long by 10 feet wide. The Engineer's pre-bid estimate of cost is as follows: $294,825.30 Total Base Bid The Board of MetroParks Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any nonmaterial irregularities in the bidding.
