Legal Ad Advertisement 1.1 Sealed Bids for Providing

Legal Ad ADVERTISEMENT 1.1 SEALED BIDS for providing resurfacing and pavement marking services for the MOT-Union Blvd Resurfacing Project will be received by the City of Englewood, 333 West National Road, Englewood, Ohio 45322 (937-771-2880) until 12:00 PM, (local time) on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. 1.2 SCOPE OF WORK to be performed under this improvement shall generally consist of resurfacing and pavement markings along approximately 8,815 feet of Union Blvd to W National Road (SR 40). 1.3 THE ABOVE IMPROVEMENT shall be in accordance with the Contract Documents. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in the bidding, and to enter into a contract with the bidder who, in the City's consideration, offers the lowest and best proposal. The City Manager reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids. The City also reserves the right to hold all proposals for sixty (60) days. 1.4 PLANS, CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, AND SPECIFICATIONS can be obtained at the above address. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on services of similar size and scope. 1.5 EACH BIDDER is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Bidders must be prequalified with ODOT for the appropriate work type at the time of bidding, award and throughout the life of the contract. 1.6 EACH PROPOSAL must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. All legal forms in bid book should be used and/or acknowledged when submitting a bid. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of the project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123 is required. 1.7 BIDDERS must comply with the federal prevailing wage rates (Davis-Bacon) on Public Improvements in Montgomery County and the City of Englewood as determined by the United States Department of Labor (USDOL). 1.8 BIDS shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope identified as "MOT-Union Blvd Resurfacing" and MUST HAVE THE FULL NAME AND ADDRESS of the bidder on the envelope. 10-2, 10-9/2022
