LEGAL NOTICE CITY OF HAMILTON, OHIO Contract 20-01 Main / Cereal / Haldimand / Western Intersection Improvement Electronic bids will be received through Bid Express by the City of Hamilton, Ohio ("Owner"), until 2:00 pm, local time, on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at which time bids will be opened publicly and read immediately thereafter at 345 High Street, Hamilton, Ohio 45011 for furnishing of all necessary permits, labor, material, and services necessary for: Contract 20-01, BUT-SR 177-0.64 (PID 104695) Main Street/Cereal Avenue/Haldimand Avenue/Western Avenue Intersection Improvement (the "Project"), as more fully described in the Contract Documents prepared by FTC&H ("Design Professional"). Bids will not be accepted after this time. Subject to the right of the Owner to reject any or all bids, the Owner will award contracts to the bidder(s) submitting the lowest and best responsible bid(s). In general, the improvements for which bids are requested will consist of the following: Improve intersection of SR 177, Cereal Avenue, Haldimand Avenue and Western Avenue by realigning Cereal Avenue and Haldimand Avenue with Western Avenue. Notice is also posted on the City's web site, www.hamilton-city.org click on Services then Bids & Quotes, or by query directly at www.bidexpress.com. The electronic bids can only be submitted through Bid Express and must be electronically endorsed by the Bidder. Contract documents are available through the Bid Express Website at: www.bidexpress.com. Registration with Bid Express is free and allows for the Bidder to review, download, and print all contract documents. A digital ID along with a per bid fee of $25.00 or a $50.00 monthly subscription will be required for the Bidder to submit an electronic bid. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid (including all add alternates) or a certified check, cashier's check, or an irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid (including all add alternates), as described in the Instructions to Bidders. This is a Federal prevailing wage project. The project has a DBE goal of 8%. Only pre-qualified contractors are eligible to submit bids for this Project. Pre-qualification status must be in force at the time of bid, at the time of award, and through the life of the construction contract. For work types that ODOT does not pre-qualify, the LPA must still select a qualified contractor. Subcontractors are not subject to the pre-qualification requirement. The "prime" contractor must perform no less than 30 percent of the total original contract price. No Bidder may withdraw its bid within sixty (60) days after the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities in bids, to reject any or all bids, and to conduct such investigation as necessary to determine the lowest and best responsible bidder(s).
