Legal Notice to Bidders Pursuant to Orc 6119.10

Legal Notice to Bidders Pursuant to ORC 6119.10, the Southwest Regional Water District, a political subdivision of the State of Ohio, will receive sealed bids at its office at 3640 Old Oxford Road, Hamilton, Ohio, 45013, until 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, for the project known as "Middletown-Eaton Road Water Main Replacement," as per plans and specifications on file at the offices of the District. The bidding documents may be obtained from Tom Puckett at the District at 513-863-0828 or puckettt@swwater.org. (The District's office is closed to the public due to COVID.) Bids will be opened and analyzed as expeditiously as possible. All bids must remain open and be irrevocable until October 30, 2020. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids. No pre-bid meeting will be held for this project. The project is described as follows: Install 6,035 ft of 12-in ductile iron water main and appurtenances along SR-122, including 6 connections to existing mains, 52 service replacements, and 4 bore & jack road crossings, in Madison Township, Butler County, Ohio. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a bid guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Such bid guaranty shall be in the form of either a 100% bond or a cashier's check or irrevocable letter of credit, made payable to the District in an amount equal to 10% of the bid amount. All corporate sureties shall be licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of the project. No contract will be awarded if the lowest and best base bid is in excess of 10% above the Engineer's pre-bid estimate of cost of $750,000.
