Legal Notice to Bidders Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus Project

LEGAL NOTICE TO BIDDERS Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus Project 2020 Notice is hereby given that sealed Bids will be received by the City of Franklin, Ohio, until July 15, 2020, at 1:00 p.m., for the furnishing and delivery of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), according to the Bid Invitation, Notice, Instructions, General Conditions, Specifications and Documents provided in the Bid Packets. Bidders interested in bidding on this Project must obtain a Bid Packet directly from the City. At this time, Bid Packets may be picked up by appointment only at the City Administration Building, 1 Benjamin Franklin Way, Franklin, OH 45005, (937) 746-9921, because it is otherwise closed as a result of the COVID-19 declared State of Emergency. Bid Packets are also available for download on the City's website at www.franklinohio.org and may also be received via secure link email from Law Director Lynnette Dinkler, (ldinkler@franklinohio.org 937-746-1301). Bids shall be delivered by mail to City Administration Building, 1 Benjamin Franklin Way, Franklin, OH 45005 or by hand depositing in the drop box marked "Water & Tax Drop Box" located outside the City Administration Building. The envelope containing all sealed Bid Documents shall be clearly marked with: City of Franklin Division of Fire and EMS Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus Project 2020 ATTENTION: KARISA STEED Bidders will be responsible for mailing and delivery costs. Bids are to be submitted on the following project: The furnishing and delivery of SCBA Units, including additional items, all in accordance with the Bid Packet, including but not limited to the Bid Instructions, Bid Specifications and Bid Documents. All Bidders shall state on the Bid the delivery date and any conditions of the warranty. No Bid shall be considered unless it is accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check, issued by a responsible bank or trust company and payable to the order of the City of Franklin, State of Ohio. The bid bond, cashier's check or certified check shall be in the sum of at least ten percent (10%) of the bid and shall be enclosed with the sealed Bid. The attention of Bidders is directed to the special statutory provisions contained in ORC Chapter 4115, governing the prevailing rate of wages to be paid to laborers and mechanics employed on this Project, if any, and also to Ohio Revised Code Section 153.59 regarding non-discrimination. Proposals will be opened and read publicly on July 15, 2020 at 1:01 p.m. EST at the City Administration Building. The City of Franklin reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any discrepancies or irregularities in the Bids.
