Public Notice Montgomery County Human Services Planning

PUBLIC NOTICE Montgomery County Human Services Planning and Development Department on behalf of Ohio Children's Trust Fund Western Ohio Regional Prevention Council Request for Proposals for child abuse and child neglect prevention services The Montgomery County Human Services Planning and Development Department (hereafter HSPD) is requesting proposals for the provision of child abuse and neglect prevention services for the remainder of State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2023. Approximately $100,000 is available to direct prevention services to be delivered to residents in the 13-county region that includes Allen, Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, and Shelby Counties. The Regional Prevention Council is required to ensure an equitable distribution of services throughout the region. Therefore, proposals for services to more than one county are highly desirable. HSPD is responsible for managing this RFP process and will contract for primary and secondary prevention services on behalf of the regional council. SERVICES The Ohio Children's Trust Fund targets only primary and secondary prevention services. Funding will not be approved for programs and services that do not provide primary or secondary prevention services that target families with a substantiated child welfare case, or that supplant current program funding. Direct Service applications are sought to deliver services in one or more of the counties in the Western Ohio region and provided to residents of those counties only. Any program(s) proposed for implementation must Strengthen the Protective Factors in Parents and Caregivers, a strategy selected by the Regional Prevention Council for preventing child abuse and neglect in the Western Ohio region and be identified within the RFP: Proposals selected will be awarded a contract at the discretion of the Western Ohio Regional Prevention Council and the Montgomery County Board of County Commissioners. Contract awards are also dependent on the availability of funds from the State of Ohio. The Request for Proposals (RFP) can be obtained as of September 28, 2022, at www.mcohio.org/hspd (click on Funding and then Ohio Children's Trust Fund). Proposals must be submitted electronically via the e-CImpact Community Vendor Portal identified in the RFP.
