Public Notice the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic

PUBLIC NOTICE The U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA) is considering a request for Federal assistance from Greene County Board of Commissioners to construct a Pump Station Elimination Project in Beavercreek, Ohio for the purpose of eliminating aging assets and providing a means for economic growth in the immediate area. Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended, EDA is conducting an environmental assessment (EA) of the proposed project. The specific project area is located within Greene County an is bounded by Colonel Glenn Highway to the north, the Properties at Wright Field housing complex to the west, Kemp Road to the south and Rollingview Drive to the east. The project seeks to eliminate three small sanitary lift stations (LS) and replace with a gravity sewer. The sewer will consist of a main "artery" which connects the Plainview LS to the existing Colonel Glenn LS. Two main connections will be constructed to convey flows from the Vayview and Murwood LS's which will also be abandoned. Portions of the overall system have already been constructed, and once the sewers are all connected, the three LS's will be demolished. The purpose of the project is to replace aging pump stations which were damaged by the 2019 tornadoes with a more maintainable and longer-lasting gravity sewer, allowing business and job growth in the area. Project information is available for review at Greene County Sanitary Engineering Department located at: 667 Dayton-Xenia Rd Xenia, OH 45385 If you have any information regarding potential environmental impacts associated with this proposed project, please provide it in writing to: Robin D.
