TO: ALL INTERESTED CONTRACTORS DATE: November 8, 2022 RE: Bid: #22-046-1 ~ Hot Water Heat Boiler Replacement - Tecumseh Middle School Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 3313.46, Board Policy 6320 and 6325, Tecumseh Local Schools will receive sealed bids for the project described below starting on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. This notice will be posted in both the newspaper and on the Tecumseh Local Website (https://www.tecumseh.k12.oh.us/) Sealed bids should be clearly marked, "Bid: #22-046-1 BOILER-TECUMSEH MIDDLE SCHOOL - ATTENTION DENISE ROBINSON" and must be received in the Tecumseh Local School Board Office (9760 W. National Road, New Carlisle, OH 45344) before 2:00 p.m. (EST), Monday, December 5, 2022, at which time they will be publicly recorded and read out loud. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. There will be a pre-bid meeting held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. (EST). The meeting will be held at Tecumseh Middle School (10000 W. National Rd, New Carlisle, OH 45344). This will be the only meeting held with interested contractors; individual meetings will not be held. Vendors will be able to inspect the jobsite, take measurements, and ask questions. SCOPE: Replace (2) Unilux ZF 500W boilers with new Unilux ZF 500W-LB boilers with FIRE EYE PPC4000 Parallel Positioning Controls OR equivalent. -Drain boiler back to circulator pumps -Disconnect all utilities and fresh air duct -Disconnect flue -Disconnect boiler gas train and gas piping -Demo existing hot water supply and return piping from boilers -Remove existing boilers load onto truck and dispose -Off load new Unilux boilers with crane, skate into place -Install new gas train -Reconnect water supply and returns lines -Fill boiler and factory startup All bids must include prevailing wages.
