Notice of Election on Tax Levy in Excess

NOTICE OF ELECTION ON TAX LEVY IN EXCESS OF THE TEN MILL LIMITATION R.C. 3501.11(G), 5705.19, 5705.25 ___________________________ Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of a Resolution adopted Salem Township, Warren County, Ohio, passed on the 3rd day of March 2020, there will be submitted to a vote of the people at the General Election to be held at the regular places of voting on Tuesday, the 3rd day of November 2020, the question. An additional tax for the benefit of the Salem Township Fire District, including unincorporated Salem Township and the Village of Morrow, for the purpose of providing and maintaining fire apparatus, appliances, buildings, or sites therefor, or sources of water supply and materials therefor, or the establishment and maintenance of lines of fire alarm telegraph, or the payment of permanent, part-time, or volunteer firefighters or firefighting companies to operate the same, including the payment of the firefighter employer's contribution required under Section 742.34 of the Ohio Revised Code, or to purchase ambulance equipment, or to provide ambulance, paramedic, or other emergency medical services operated by a fire department or firefighting company, at a rate not exceeding 3.9 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.39 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of 5 years, commencing in 2021, first due in calendar year 2022. The polls for the election will open at 6:30 a.m. and remain open until 7:30 p.m. on election day By order of the Board of Elections, of Warren County, Ohio.
