Ph: 614-644-3037 email: HClerk@epa.ohio.gov Hazardous Waste Facility Permit Action Clean Water Environmental, LLC 300 Cherokee Drive, Dayton, OH 45417 ID #: CORRECTION, OHD004274031 Date of Action: 10/30/2019 On September 30, 2019, Ohio EPA issued draft a Renewal Hazardous Waste Facility Installation and Operation Permit and Class 3 Permit Modification to Clean Water Environmental LLC (Clean Water), U.S. EPA Identification Number OHD 004 274 031 located at 300 Cherokee Drive, Dayton, Ohio 45417 in Montgomery County. Clean Water stores, treats, and reclaims multiple different types of wastes at this facility. This Class 3 Permit Modification will allow Clean Water to store and treat automotive restraint system components, air bags, seat belts, pretensioners, inflators, and modules at this facility in shredder units. The purpose of this draft permit is to allow Clean Water to continue the following hazardous waste management activities: storage of hazardous waste in containers, corrective action, and treatment of automotive restraint system components which are classified as hazardous wastes in shredder units. For the permit application to receive final approval, Ohio EPA must determine that the permit application is complete and meets appropriate standards and that the applicant has a history of compliance with relevant environmental laws and demonstrates sufficient reliability, expertise, and competency to operate a hazardous waste facility. The draft permit can be viewed at the Madden Hills Public Library - 2542 Germantown Street, Dayton, Ohio 45417. Questions to the facility regarding the permit application should be addressed to John Staton, Clean Water Environmental LLC, 300 Cherokee Drive, Dayton, Ohio 45417. Currently, the State of Ohio is not authorized by U.S. EPA to issue a permit for organic air emissions (40 CFR Part 264, Subparts AA, BB, and CC) from hazardous waste units. U.S. EPA has drafted a RCRA permit to address organic air emissions from hazardous waste. U.S. EPA's draft permit and the State of Ohio's draft permit have been issued concurrently and both share the same comment period. The federal draft permit is available for review by the public online at: https://www.epa.gov/hwpermitting/ clean-water-environmental- llc-permit-documents. The public comment period begins on October 1, 2019 and ends on November 15, 2019.
