OAC Rule 3745-15-06A3 Notice of Availability and Request for Comments TMDL Report Date of Action: 12/30/2022 OHIO ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY AND REQUEST FOR COMMENTS Maumee Watershed Nutrient Draft Total Maximum Daily Load Report Public notice is hereby given that the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA) Division of Surface Water (DSW) is providing for public review and comment the Maumee Watershed Nutrient (MWN) Draft Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Report. Ohio EPA developed this report in fulfillment of Section 303(d) of the Clean Water Act. The development of a TMDL is required when effluent limitations for the impaired waterbodies are not stringent enough to achieve applicable water quality standards. The Maumee Watershed Nutrient TMDL Project has a goal to reduce total and dissolved reactive phosphorus loadings from the Maumee River in order to remove drinking water, aquatic life, and recreational impairments to the Lake Erie Shoreline, Open Water, and Islands of the Western Basin. All interested persons wishing to submit comments on the draft TMDL report for Ohio EPA's consideration may do so by email to EPATMDL@epa.ohio.gov or in writing to Ohio EPA, Division of Surface Water, P.O. Box 1049, Columbus, Ohio 43216-1049, Attn: TMDL Program by 5:00 PM on March 8, 2023. Comments received after this date may be considered as time and circumstances permit. After consideration of comments, Ohio EPA will submit the modified report to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) for approval. To obtain a copy of the draft report or other information, or to arrange to inspect Agency files or records pertaining to the report, or to request notice of when Ohio EPA submits the document to U.S. EPA, please email EPATMDL@epa.ohio.gov. The draft TMDL report and fact sheet will be posted on December 30, 2022, to the Ohio EPA Division of Surface Water website: epa.ohio.gov/divisions-and-offices/surface-water/reports-data/water-quality-programs. Ohio EPA will be holding a virtual informational webinar on February 8, 2023, at 2:00 PM, to present information on the MWN Draft TMDL Report and allow time for questions. Final Program Management Plan for the Water Supply Revolving Loan Account and Water Supply Revolving Loan Account Project Priority List Date of Action: 12/29/2022 The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency is announcing availability of the Revised 2023 Drinking Water Assistance Fund (DWAF) Program Management Plan issued under authority of Ohio Revised Code 6109.22.
