The City of Middletown, as directed by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), is submitting its Program Year 2019 Annual Action Plan as part of the 5 year Consolidated Plan outlining the City's priorities for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The objective of this funding is to meet community housing and development needs. The CDBG allocation received for 2018 program year was $725,441. This Annual Action Plan states the specific activities to be undertaken in the fifth Consolidated Plan program year which runs from May 1, 2019 April 30, 2020. There will be a public hearing on this plan held on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at or around 5:30pm in the City Council Chambers on the lower level of the City Building, 1 Donham Plaza, Middletown, OH 45042. There will also be a 30-day public comment period commencing February 6, 2019 and running through March 8, 2019 for citizens to review and submit any comments regarding the plan. Copies of the plan will be available for view online at https://www.cityofmiddletown.org/183/Community-Development or at the Middletown Midpointe Library, Central Connections (senior center), at the City building in the Department of Administrative Services, or at the Robert 'Sonny' Hill Jr. Community Center. Comments must be submitted in writing and may be emailed to cdcomments@cityofmiddletown.org, faxed to 513/858-1739 or mailed or dropped off to City of Middletown, Department of Administrative Services, Attn: CDBG Public Comments, 1 Donham Plaza, Middletown OH 45042. 2-8, 2-15, 2-22/2019
