LEGAL NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF REQUEST FOR FUNDING PROPOSALS for PY 2026-2027 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN UPDATE AND PUBLIC MEETING. The Community & Economic Development Department of the City of Middletown is making available Requests for Funding Applications for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for program year 2026-27. Applications are available on the city's website at http://cityofmiddletown.org, by requesting an application via email at cdbg@communitydevelopmentprofessionals or requesting a copy in person at CED, One Donham Plaza, Middletown, OH 40542. Proposals are due on or before 4pm on January 23, 2026. A technical assistance/public meeting will be held via Zoom on Monday, December 15 at 3pm to review the application and answer any questions. The Zoom meeting can be accessed at https://us06web.zoom.us/j/81577379822?pwd=rWVvTOJ5J1KzE7sY4L5964ESJge99l.1 Attendance at this meeting is voluntary and is not required to submit an application for funding. The proposed budget estimated for CDBG for PY26 is $695,797. The objectives of CDBG program include the revitalization, preservation, conservation and redevelopment of neighborhoods, stimulating economic development; and providing public improvements projects and other eligible activities, some of which are carried out by subrecipients.
