ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS VILLAGE OF SOUTH CHARLESTON 35 SOUTH CHILLICOTHE STREET SOUTH CHARLESTON, OHIO 45368 Sealed BIDS will be received by Village of South Charleston for construction of the Wastewater System Improvements Project. The work includes but is not limited to providing all labor, tools, equipment and materials necessary for the following improvements: Installation of mixers in Aeration Basins Replacement of Equalization Basin Pumps and Pipe/Valve Modifications Replacement of Sludge Pump and Pump Room Piping/Valve Modifications New Influent Composite Sampler Replacement of sludge valves Modifications to Digester decant system Concrete repair work and demolition Metal Building Repair work Alum Feed System/Alum Building Replacement RAS Pump Hour Meters and RAS Flowmeter Miscellaneous Piping Modifications/Repairs Electrical work associated with improvements and miscellaneous upgrades. Chillicothe Street South Charleston, OH 45368 (513) 934-1512 Sealed BIDS will be received for the Village of South Charleston Wastewater System Improvements Project at the South Charleston Town Hall, 35 South Chillicothe Street, South Charleston, Ohio 45368 until 12:00 noon (local time) on the 9th day of June, 2022 at which time all BIDS will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bidders shall accompany their BIDS with a Bid Guaranty in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the maximum amount bid or a Certified Check or Cashier's Check for 10% of the bid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the bid date and in accordance with ORC 153.54. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of their project. Contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements for federally assisted construction shall be required. This equal opportunity clause shall be required in every subcontract or purchase order unless exempted by the rules, regulations, or orders of the Secretary of Labor issued pursuant to section 204 of Executive Order No 11246 of September 24, 1965, so that such provision will be binding upon each subcontract or vender. The Village of South Charleston, Ohio in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, hereby notifies all prospective bidders including disadvantage business enterprises that all bidders will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to any bid invitation issued by the Village and that all bidders will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, low-income status, or limited English proficiency in consideration for an award. Bidders shall be required to comply with the Davis-Bacon Act and all applicable provisions of the federal prevailing wage laws. Bidders must comply with Davis-Bacon Wage Rate Requirements. "DOMESTIC STEEL USE REQUIREMENTS AS SPECIFIED IN SECTION 153.001 OF THE REVISED CODE APPLY TO THIS PROJECT. COPIES OF SECTION 153.001 OF THE REVISED CODE CAN BE OBTAINED FROM ANY OF THE OFFICES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES." (SEC. 153.011 (E).) The Village of South Charleston reserves the right to reject any and all bids, delete any portion or portions thereof or to waive any irregularities in the bidding.
