PUBLIC ADVERTISEMENT MIAMI UNIVERSITY OXFORD, OHIO 45056 NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS ("RFQ") FOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGER AT RISK Notice is hereby given of Miami University's intent to employ Construction Manager at Risk services for the North Chiller Plant Geothermal Conversion 2025 Project. This Project will convert the North Chiller Plant (NCP) to a Geothermal Heating and Cooling Plant. The NCP will be re-configured to provide hot water via existing and new Heat Recovery (HR) Chillers. Chilled water will be provided via existing water-cooled centrifugal chillers as well as existing and new HR Chillers. A wellfield containing approximately 1,110 x 600-ft deep wells will be drilled in the Millett West Parking lot and connected to the HR chillers via new piping and pumps. The design and construction phasing will be performed by the A/E and coordinated with and executed by the CM. Scope includes but is not limited to restoration of the site after completion of the geothermal well drilling and piping work. Coordination of shutdowns and startup of systems will be critical for a smooth transition. Professional design services have been acquired by the Contracting Authority under a separate contract with Salas O'Brien Engineering. The CM will be selected using (i) qualifications-based process during the Request for Qualifications ("RFQ") stage to develop a short list and (ii) best value process during the Request for Proposal stage. The qualifications-based criteria for the RFQ is included in the full details of the RFQ. The best value criteria used in evaluating proposals from short listed firms will include such factors that are determined to derive or offer the greatest value to the University, combining both qualifications and fee.
