The City of Springfield Will Be Amending

The City of Springfield will be amending the 2020 CDBG-CV action plan. The amendments will include goal narratives to be broadened to also include Public Service and Public Facility investments benefiting LMI individuals and areas; and to allow for up to 50% of funds to be moved from and among Public Service, Public Facilities, and Administration budget lines to best respond to current community needs, within activities meeting National Objectives throughout the community - and to recommend that staff prepare formal legislation for the City Commission to authorize and support these amendments at the earliest time possible so the community may maximize the support of the federal government for programming and activities that support LMI persons in order to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the direct and indirect effects of the current COVID-19 pandemic and to mitigate future risks. The City of Springfield will hold a 30 day public comment period until 11/11/22.
