LEGAL NOTICE OF CITY OF HAMILTON, OHIO Electronic bids will be received through Bid Express by the City of Hamilton, Ohio ("Owner"), until 2:00 pm, local time, July 3, 2024, at which time bids will be opened publicly and read immediately thereafter at 345 High Street, Hamilton, Ohio 45011 for furnishing of all necessary permits, labor, material, and services necessary for: Contract No. 24-24 2024 Concrete Cutting Millville Avenue as more fully described in the Contract Documents prepared by Chad Harville (Design Professional). Bids will not be accepted after this time. Subject to the right of the Owner to reject any or all bids, the Owner will award contracts to the bidder(s) submitting the lowest and best responsible bid(s). In general, the improvements for which bids are requested will consist of the following: Repair of sidewalk trip hazards from ¼" and up to 1 ¼" in designated work areas by means of concrete cutting. Notice is also posted on the City's web site, www.hamilton-city.org click on Services then Bids & Quotes, or by query directly at www.bidexpress.com. The electronic bids can only be submitted through Bid Express and must be electronically endorsed by the Bidder. Contract documents are available through the Bid Express Website at: www.bidexpress.com. Registration with Bid Express is free and allows for the Bidder to review, download, and print all contract documents. A digital ID along with a per bid fee of $35.00 or a $50.00 monthly subscription will be required for the Bidder to submit an electronic bid. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid (including all add alternates) or a certified check, cashier's check, or an irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid (including all add alternates), as described in the Instructions to Bidders. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contactor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972 and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Bidders must comply with both state and federal prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Butler County and the City of Hamilton, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239 and the U.S. Department of Labor. This is an Ohio Prevailing Wage project. No Bidder may withdraw its bid within sixty (60) days after the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities in bids, to reject any or all bids, and to conduct such investigation as necessary to determine the lowest and best responsible bidder(s).
