NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed bids will be received in the Montgomery County Purchasing Department, 9th floor County Administration Building, 451 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45422, until 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 24, 2024, for Project No. 130075-57, Solid Waste Chute Lining Project, for the Montgomery County Environmental Services Department. Said bids will be opened as soon thereafter as the opening can begin in Room 902, 9th floor of the County Administration Building. The project includes the demolition of damaged steel and concrete at the existing loadout hoppers at the Montgomery County Solid Waste Transfer & Recycling Facility in Moraine, Ohio. The project will be completed in three stages; one loadout hopper at a time will be closed, while the other two loadout hoppers will remain open and active for use at the transfer facility. Bidders should provide two cost estimates for completion of the scope of work included in this bid package, one during normal working hours (Monday Friday 5:00 AM-6:30 PM) and one for off-peak working hours (Monday - Friday 6:30 PM-4:30 AM and Saturday 3:00 PM - Monday 4:30 AM). Bidders are to meet in the Large Conference Room for sign-in and a presentation, then to the Environmental Learning Center viewing platform to view the Commercial Tipping Floor, and then to the tipping floor to view one closed loadout hopper. The meeting will finish in the conference room with questions and a closeout. PPE should include high-visibility vests, hard hats, and steel-toe boots to view the loadout hopper. All viewing areas are within walking distance of the conference room. ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE $780,000 All Bids shall include the Bid Submittal Documents as defined in the Instructions to Bidders in Specification Section 00100.
