The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Repair of the existing 100,000-gallon standpipe storage tank located at 0 West Pleasant Street, Catawba, Ohio including preparation, seal welding, and painting. All workmanship and materials are to be in accordance with the Contract Documents, which may be examined at the following locations: Environmental Engineering Service 3575 Columbia Road Lebanon, Ohio 45036 (513) 934-1512 Village of Catawba 2 West Pleasant Street Catawba, Ohio 43010 Sealed BIDS will be received for the construction of the Village of Catawba Standpipe Storage Tank Repair Project at the Village Offices, 2 West Pleasant Street, Catawba, Ohio 43010 until 1:00 PM (local time) on the 10th day of September 2025 at which time all BIDS will be publicly opened and read aloud. NOTE: The mailing address for the Village of Catawba, Ohio is P.O. Box 25 Catawba, Ohio 43010. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of their experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements for federally assisted construction shall be required. This equal opportunity clause shall be required in every subcontract or purchase order unless exempted by the rules, regulations, or orders of the Secretary of Labor issued pursuant to section 204 of Executive Order No 11246 of September 24, 1965, so that such provision will be binding upon each subcontract or vendor. The Village of Catawba, Ohio in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, hereby notifies all prospective bidders including disadvantage business enterprises that all bidders will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to any bid invitation issued by the village and that all bidders will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, low-income status, or limited English proficiency in consideration for an award. The construction of this project will be funded in part with funds made available from the Federal Government through the US Army Corps of Engineers Section 594 program. Bidders must comply with all applicable laws and regulations for construction projects receiving Federal aid including, but not limited to, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, and the Davis-Bacon Act as amended. Davis-Bacon (Federal) Prevailing Wage Determinations must be used in addition to any State prevailing wage rates. The contractor shall use the higher rate for each job classification (between State wage rates and Davis-Bacon wage rates) for paying labor employed in the construction of this project.
