Form No. 124 Prescribed by the Secretary of State (01/2026) Notice of Election on Tax Levy in Excess of the Ten Mill Limitation R.C. 3501.11(G), 5705.19, 5705.25 Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of a Resolution of the Township of Franklin passed on the 28th day of January, 2026, there will be submitted to a vote of the people at the Primary Election to be held at the regular places of voting on Tuesday, the 5th day of May, 2026, the question of levying a tax, in excess of the ten mill limitation, which shall be an additional tax for the benefit of Township of Franklin for the purpose of general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing, and repair of streets, roads, and bridges in the township, and for constructing, rehabilitating, repairing, or maintaining sidewalks, walkways, trails, bicycle pathways, or similar improvements or acquiring ownership interests in land necessary for the foregoing improvements, at a rate not exceeding 1 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $35 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for a continuing period of time. The estimated annual collections of this levy is $449,567. The polls for the election will be open at 6:30 a.m. and remain open until 7:30 p.m. on election day.
