Greenon Local Board of Education Seeks Applicants for Vacant Board Seat The Greenon Local Board of Education is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the Board of Education following the resignation of a Board Member, effective January 22, 2026. The Board will begin reviewing applications and conducting interviews in the coming weeks, and must appoint a qualified individual to fill the vacancy by no later than February 21, 2026. The individual appointed will serve through December 31, 2027. To continue serving on the Board after December 31, 2027, the appointed individual would be required to submit a petition for the next school board election in November of 2027. The Greenon Local Board of Education will review all submitted applications and conduct interviews before appointing the new board member at a special meeting to be held between February 7, 2026, and February 18, 2026.
