KETTERING CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS AND STATEMENT OF INTEREST FOR CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL DESIGN SERVICES The Kettering City School District (the Board), located in Kettering, Montgomery County, Ohio, announces its intent to contract for professional design services for certain improvements as part of its master facilities planning process (the "Project"). The Board invites design firms and other consultants interested in providing the required services for the Project to submit their qualifications, including the firm's experience and a statement of interest in the Project. Copies of the complete Request for Qualifications and Statement of Interest for a Contract for Professional Design Service may be obtained from Jeff Johnson, Director of Business Services, Kettering City School District, 580 Lincoln Park Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45429, or by visiting the District's website at ketteringschools.org. Description of Project and Required Services The Board specifically seeks professional design services to assist with pre-bond issuance planning and facilities master planning for future projects, which may be completed under the OFCC Expedited Local Partnership Program (ELPP). The scope of the Project is to build a new middle school, selective abatement, demo, and construction of the current high school. Other projects that support phase one of the Master Facilities Plan such as targeted renovations to nine elementaries and athletic fields. Estimated budget for phase one of the project is $222,000,000. The Board will work with the selected design professional and separately contracted construction services firm(s) to define additional work to be accomplished, as well as establishing a detailed schedule for completion of the anticipated tasks. The Project may also include additional similar improvements as the Board may identify during the design phase. No fee estimate is required at time of submittal of qualifications. Firms submitting statements of qualifications for the available contract will be evaluated and ranked in order of their qualifications. Following this evaluation, the firms determined to be most qualified may be asked to meet with Board representatives to present the firm's qualifications and proposed approach for the Project before final selection is made. Upon selection of the firm determined to be most qualified to provide the requested services for the Project, compensation and an agreement for services will be negotiated and prepared for the Project. Design professionals wishing to submit qualifications for the Project must do so in writing before 1:00PM on January 16, 2026. Submittals received after this time will be opened only at the discretion of the Board.
