Notice of Election on Proposition R.C. 3501.11(G) Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of an Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Hamilton, Ohio passed on the 9th day of July, 2025, there will be submitted to a vote of the people of City of Hamilton at the General Election to be held at the regular places of voting, on Tuesday, the 4th day of November, 2025, the question of Shall Article X of the Charter of the City of Hamilton, governing the Department of Human Resources and the City's Civil Service System, be amended by adding new Section 10.01, by amending existing Sections 10.01-10.03, 10.05-10.07, and 10.09-10.12, and by renumbering the remainder of Article X to clarify the functions of the Department of Human Resources, vest Civil Service Commission member appointment authority solely with City Council, align the appointment and removal of the Human Resource Director with the process used for other department heads, ensure Civil Service Commission appointments are nonpartisan, revise job title references to reflect current organizational practices, modernize public notice and communication provisions to permit electronic publication, and update Civil Service provisions regarding eligibility lists, appointments, promotions, and staffing to reflect contemporary standards and procedures?
