Notice of Election on Tax Levy in Excess of the Ten Mill Limitation Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of a Resolution of the Board of Commissioners of Butler County of Butler County, Ohio, passed on the 20th day of January, 2026, there will be submitted to a vote of the people at the Primary Election to be held at the regular places of voting on Tuesday, the 5th day of May, 2026, the question of levying a tax, in excess of the ten mill limitation, which shall be an additional tax for the benefit of Butler County for the purpose of the operation of community programs and services authorized by county boards of developmental disabilities, for the acquisition, construction, renovation, financing, maintenance, and operation of developmental disabilities facilities, or for both of such purposes, at a rate not exceeding 2 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $70 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for a continuing period of time. The estimated annual collections of this levy is $27,081,455. The polls for the election will be open at 6:30 a.m. and remain open until 7:30 p.m. on election day.
