NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PURPOSE: PUBLIC HEARING Program Year 2026 CDBG Funding DATE: April 14th, 2026 2:00 PM LOCATION: 3130 East Main Street, Springfield, Ohio 45503 Springview Government Center (Room 151) Clark County intends to submit various applications to the Ohio Department of Development for funding under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, a federally-funded program administered by the State of Ohio. Clark County is expected to receive approximately $288,000 of Program Year 2026 CDBG funding under the CDBG Allocation Program; as well as potentially receiving competitive set-aside funding for programs including Critical Infrastructure, Neighborhood Revitalization, Flexible/Target of Opportunity grants and Community Housing Improvement & Preservation; providing the County meets applicable program requirements. The Public Hearing will be held in the Springview Government Center, Room 151, 3130 East Main Street, Springfield, Ohio, to provide citizens and local government leaders with pertinent information about programs including CDBG Allocation, Critical Infrastructure, Flexible Grants/Target of Opportunity, Residential Public Infrastructure, Economic Development, Community Housing Improvement & Preservation and others including an explanation of eligible activities and program requirements. The programs can fund a broad range of activities, including street & drainage improvements; water supply, drainage and sanitary sewer improvements; park acquisition and improvements; demolition of unsafe structures; planning activities, public services, rehabilitation & repair of housing; economic development and neighborhood facilities. The activities must be designed to primarily benefit an area of 51% or more low- and moderate-income households, serve a designated CDBG limited group clientele, or aid in the prevention and elimination of slums and blight. All CDBG PY2026 projects funded by the Clark County Commissioners must be physically located within Clark County and outside the city limits of Springfield or must provide public services to residents of Clark County. Citizens are encouraged to attend this meeting on April 14th, 2026 to provide input on Clark County Community Development programs.
