NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PY 2026 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS MIAMI COUNTY, OHIO The Board of Miami County Commissioners is eligible to apply to the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) for funding under the Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, a federally funded program administered by the State of Ohio. The County is eligible for approximately $2,000,000 of Program Year (PY) 2026 CDBG funding, providing the County meets applicable program requirements. The first of two (or more) public hearings will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 1:35 p.m. in the Commissioners' Hearing Room, Safety Building, 201 W. Main Street, Troy, Ohio to provide citizens with pertinent information about the CDBG Program including an explanation of eligible activities, program requirements and application deadlines. The CDBG Program can fund a broad range of activities, including economic development projects; street, water supply, drainage and sanitary sewer improvements; demolition of unsafe structures, rehabilitation of housing; public services; and improvements to neighborhood facilities. The activities must be designed to primarily benefit low to moderate income persons, aid in the prevention or elimination of slum and blight, or meet an urgent need of the community. The following CDBG programs are available to Miami County: PROGRAM AVAILABLE FUNDS 1. Residential Public Infrastructure Grant Program $ 750,000 2. Economic Development Public Infrastructure Program $ 500,000 3. Critical Infrastructure Program $ 500,000 4. New Horizons Fair Housing Program $ 50,000 5. CDBG Flexible Grant Program $ 250,000 The primary focus of this first public hearing is to inform citizens about Miami County's potential PY 2026 Critical Infrastructure and Residential Public Infrastructure Grant Programs. A second public hearing will be held prior to the County's submittal of grant applications for any programs for which it may apply. The State deadline for the first round of funding for the Critical Infrastructure, RPIG and Downtown Revitalization Programs is anticipated to be June 10, 2026. Citizens are encouraged to attend this public hearing on Thursday, April 16, 2026 to provide their input on the County's CDBG Programs.
