NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS Notice is hereby given that two public hearings will be held by the Board of County Commissioners of Miami County pursuant to the provisions of Section 5739.021 of the Ohio Revised Code on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 1:40 o'clock p.m., and on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 9:10 o'clock a.m., at the Miami County Safety Building, 201 W. Main Street, Troy, Ohio, for the purpose of considering the adoption of a resolution by the Board of County Commissioners to levy an additional one-half of one percent sales and use tax pursuant to Sections 5739.021 and 5741.021 of the Ohio Revised Code to provide additional revenue for the purpose of constructing, acquiring, equipping, or repairing a detention facility in Miami County for a period of ten years. If such resolution is approved by the Board of County Commissioners, and the majority of the electors voting on the question at the May 5, 2026 election, the additional sales and use tax would be effective October 1, 2026. Interested persons are invited to attend the public hearings and will be given an opportunity to express their views concerning the proposed resolution.
