INVITATION TO BID LEGAL NOTICE Sealed BIDS for the contract of Prefabricated Truss Bridge for the Greater Miami River Multi-Purpose Trail (Bid No. 2025-002) will be received by the Board of Park Commissioners at 1976 Timberman Road, Hamilton, OH 45013 until 2:00 P.M. (LOCAL TIME) on January 8th, 2026, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. Bids are to be submitted electronically through Bid Express. Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS are available electronically free of charge using the following website https://www.yourmetroparks.net/about/rfps-and-bid-opportunities. Bidders must register on the website to be notified of addenda. Bidders should address all questions through Bid Express no later than January 2, 2026, 9:00 a.m. to Joe Bruns, Asst. Project Manager, 1976 Timberman Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45013, email jbruns@yourmetroparks.net. To be eligible to bid, Bidder shall be certified as a Certified Steel Erector by the American Institute of Steel Construction and shall be Level 6 Certified per section 513 of the Ohio Department of Transportation Construction and Materials Specifications. Each Bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Such Bid Guaranty shall be in the form of either a bond, secured by a corporate surety, in the amount of 100% of the bid amount; or a certified check, cashier's check, or irrevocable letter of credit, made payable to MetroParks of Butler County, in an amount equal to 10% of the Bid amount. All corporate sureties shall be licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. MetroParks of Butler County is a governmental agency exempt from all local, state and federal taxes. The Board intends to award a contract to the best value bidder submitted in accordance with the requirements of these bidding documents with prioritization of the delivery schedule. The project is described as follows: Construct and deliver a prefabricated weathering steel truss bridge approximately 148 feet long by 14 feet wide per project specifications. The Board of MetroParks Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any nonmaterial irregularities in the bidding.
