The subject parcel is located within the Oakland Conservation District where any major exterior alteration, including demolition of structures, requires a Certificate of Appropriateness, according to the Middletown Development Code. The applicant requests approval of repair and renovation of the existing structure at 700 S. Main Street. The subject parcel is located within the South Main Historic District where any exterior alteration, restoration, and reconstruction require a Certificate of Appropriateness, according to the Middletown Development Code.
