LEGAL NOTICE 2026-02 CITY OF MIAMISBURG CARNEGIE LIBRARY RENOVATION PROJECT Bids will be received via the Bid Express website (www.bidexpress.com) until November 6, 2025 12:00 P.M. (deadline) for the Carnegie Library Renovation Project at which time bids will be publicly opened via the bidexpress site. The City of Miamisburg is renovating the historic Carnegie Library in Veterans Park for use as a Veterans and First Responders Museum operated by the Miamisburg Historical Society. The work will restore selected exterior features, renovate both interior levels, and provide an accessible platform lift between floors. The project intends to improve the building's functionality, appearance, and accessibility while maintaining the character of the historic facility. Bids can only be submitted through the Bid Express website. Bid specifications and plans are only available through the Bid Express website. Each Bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. The owner will host mandatory pre-bid meetings on Tuesday, October 20, and Thursday October 22 at 10:00 a.m. at the Carnegie Building, 426 E. Central Ave., Miamisburg, OH 45342. All bidders interested in submitting a bid for this project are required to attend one of these two mandatory pre-bid meetings. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Montgomery County, Ohio, as determined by the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations. The City of Miamisburg, Ohio reserves the right to reject any and all bids to waive any informalities or irregularities, and further, reserves the right to accept any bids or parts of bids which it deems to best serve the interest of the City of Miamisburg, Ohio.
