LEGAL NOTICE CONTRACT #26-13R 2023 PHMSA GRANT MISCELLANEOUS GAS MAIN REPLACEMENT CITY OF HAMILTON, OHIO Electronic bids will be received through Bid Express by the City of Hamilton, Ohio ("Owner"), until 2:00 pm, local time, Thursday, May 28, 2026, at which time bids will be opened publicly and read immediately thereafter at 345 High Street, Hamilton, Ohio 45011 for furnishing of all necessary permits, labor, material, and services necessary for: Contract #26-13R 2023 PHMSA Grant Miscellaneous Gas Main Replacement (the "Project"), as more fully described in the Contract Documents prepared by City of Hamilton ("Design Professional"). Bids will not be accepted after this time. Subject to the right of the Owner to reject any or all bids, the Owner will award contracts to the bidder(s) submitting the lowest and best responsible bid(s). Any questions must be received by the Owner through Bid Express no later than 2:00 pm, local time, on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 in order to provide an addendum to all plan holders. In general, the improvements on which proposals are requested will require the installation of a gas main, as described below: 2,990 lineal feet of 6" polyethylene gas main, possible 6" polyethylene gas main to be directional drilled, installing 21 gas service from the gas main to the gas curb valve, installing 160 linear foot of new gas service piping by directionally drilling between the gas main and the curb valve, installing 575 linear feet of new gas service piping by directionally drilling between the curb box and gas meter, installing 50 linear feet of new interior steel gas house piping, interior steel gas house piping to be installed by a licensed plumber and inspected by the City Building Department, hard and soft restoration, a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, installing erosion control, and other miscellaneous items. A licensed plumber must be registered with the City of Hamilton. In order to be registered with the City of Hamilton, please contact our Construction Services Department at 513-785-7360 for further information. In order for work to be completed, certain permits must be obtained through Construction Services before work begins. Further information is in the Specifications of the Contract Documents and also can be received through Construction Services. The Contractor shall be aware that the gas service work on New London Road must be conducted while the students are out of school on summer break. All material used on this project must comply with the Build America Buy America act (BABA). This act is part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) sections 70901 through 70917. BABA is implemented by 2 C.F.R. Part 184, Buy America preferences for infrastructure projects. The Contractor shall be aware that all material used on this project must be BABA complaint. The Contractor must submit all BABA certifications on all their proposed material to the City prior to installation. The City will be requesting these material BABA certifications, along with all material shop drawings, prior to awarding the project to the Contractor. The Contractor shall be aware of the Categorical Exclusion Documentation included in the Project Specifications. The Contractor shall abide by the mitigation measures.
