NOTICE OF ELECTION Notice is hereby given that pursuant to a resolution passed on January 28, 2026 by the Board of Trustees of Butler Township, Montgomery County, Ohio, there will be submitted to the qualified electors of said district at the Primary/Special Election to be held on May 5, 2026 at the regular places of voting therein, the following question: An additional tax for the benefit of Butler Township (Unincorporated) for the purpose of providing and maintaining police services, including motor vehicles, communications systems, other equipment, buildings, and sites therefor used directly in the operation of the township police department; for the payment of salaries of permanent or part-time police, administrative, and communications personnel, including the payment of any employer contributions required for such personnel under section 145.48 or 742.33 of the Revised Code; costs incurred under agreements with other political subdivisions for communications, dispatch, mutual aid, and other police support services; and other related police operating expenses that the county auditor estimates will collect $832,295 annually, at a rate not exceeding 2.5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $88 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for a continuing period of time, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
