PUBLIC NOTICE REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) 6800 Hoke Road, Englewood, Ohio 45315 Phone: (937) 837-7781 The Miami Valley Career Technology Center ("District") is requesting statements of qualifications from experienced Architectural and Engineering Design firms to provide comprehensive design and construction administration services for the proposed MVCTC Adult Education Building Addition and Renovations project, located at 6801 Hoke Road, Englewood, Ohio 45315. PROJECT DESCRIPTION In collaboration with Garmann Miller, the District has developed a preliminary scope of work for the existing 40,320 SF building and an estimated 7,000 SF addition. The scope includes, but is not limited to: new career-tech lab and instructional classroom space, new science labs, office spaces, training restrooms, and a warming kitchen. The estimated budget for the total scope of work is approximately $5,000,000, and the District intends to complete construction through The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS) program. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS Evaluation and selection will be conducted in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 153.65, et seq. Interested firms must submit evidence of their qualifications addressing the following criteria: 1. General Background of the Firm: Overview, years in business, staff size, and disciplines represented. 2. Technical Experience: Experience with career technology education (CTE) facilities, including detailed descriptions of at least three (3) similar projects with construction costs and owner contacts. 3. Staff: Names, roles, and detailed resumes of key personnel assigned to the project. 4. Schedule & Budget Performance: A 5-year history demonstrating the firm's ability to meet project schedules and budgets. 5. Litigation: Details regarding any educational project-related litigation or legal disputes within the last 10 years. 6. References: Contact information for five (5) professional references. EVALUATION CRITERIA Statements of Qualifications will be evaluated and ranked based on: (1) Qualification of the firm, (2) Technical experience, (3) Local knowledge/experience, (4) Staff, and (5) References. Responding firms will be evaluated and ranked in order based on their qualification submittal. A copy of the rating form can be obtained by emailing Dr. Matt Bishop at the email below. As part of this evaluation, the District may hold interviews with individual firms. The District expects to enter into contract negotiations with the firm ranked most qualified to perform the services needed. SUBMISSION DEADLINE & ADDRESS Interested professional design firms must submit one (1) electronic copy (PDF format) and one (1) individually bound hard copy of their Statement of Qualifications no later than 4:00 PM local time on Friday, October 9, 2026. Submissions received after this deadline will not be accepted.
