Springfield Township Additional Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of a Resolution of the Board of Trustees of Springfield Township, passed on July 14, 2026, there will be submitted to a vote of the people at the General Election to be held at the regular places of voting on Tuesday, the 3rd day of November, 2026, the question of levying a tax, in excess of the ten mill limitation, for the benefit of Springfield Township for the purpose of providing police protection, providing and maintaining motor vehicles, communications, and other equipment, buildings. sites for such buildings used directly in the operation of a police department, or the payment of salaries of permanent police personnel, including the payment of the police employer's contribution required under section 742.33 of the revised code, or the payments of the costs incurred by townships as a result of contracts made with other political subdivision in order to obtain police protection that the county auditor estimates will collect $245,685.00 annually, at a rate not exceeding 0.5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $18 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's appraised value, for 5 years.
